A 240 Story

It was around late 2008/early 2009 when I got a deal from a guy for a 1990 240sx SE fastback with 123k miles. It was involved in a front end collision which involved someone running a red light and hitting the 240's front end, cause it to be a total loss. The owner bought the car back from the insurance and was looking to sell it for $1400. It was equiped with Stance GR+ coilovers, Tein inner and outter tie rods, front and rear strut bars, Z brakes in the front, and an Injen intake. I offered to do some work on his other car in trade for the 240. The next thing I know, I was the owner of an s13 fastback. I received the car in this condition without the wheels.

I started working on it slowly, first by pulling the frame and cutting off the old and damaged radiator support

I was then lucky enough to acquire a free fastback shell which was sitting in front my friends house. I then towed it to my shop and began taking the front end off.

After the frame was straightened, I screwed on the radiator support on the car and welded it, threw on a Mishimoto radiator and began mocking up the panels

Time came around to paint it.

For some reason, the tow yard ended up breaking the windshield so I had to have that replaced.

After quite a few sets of tires, a few wall taps, and a good amount of seat time, I ended up getting impounded for street drifting lol. The cop only charged me with exhibition of speed with 2 years of driving probation.

I got it out and about a year later, I found another car that I wanted to trade. This is how she looked before I traded her

The new platform I traded for is actually a '95 S14 Base.

It was already equipped with an HID's and LED's, lightened flywheel, Injen intake, Custom exhaust, Q45 brakes with 5 lug conversion, Apex'i N1 EvX coilovers, Megan RLCA's, and Wicked Tuning RUCA's. <The problems the car came with were some electrical issues with the windows(wouldn't go up or down), missing heater hose, messed up aftermarket tension rods, a bad tranny mount bushing, which was supposedly "blown." I already bought a new slave for the "blown" tranny lol.

Kit and I started ripping apart the car and took the dash out within 30 minutes to see if the under dash harness was hacked.

Upon ripping apart the rest of the car I found out that the previous owner was a big fan of the tumblr blog FuckYeahAznGirls, which is completely fine by me lol.

Here's a pic again with another s14 that I'm working on as a side job

I picked up some used Tein Inners and Outters for $100

Then I found a Kaaz 1.5 way for $400

Then I bartered some work for some Yamato Garage Tension Rods

My whole team, Late Night Mischief, registered for Fatlace/Word up on September 22, 2012. There's going to be a lot of exposure on there so I need to step my game up and get this car going.
